Snappening.com, located in Indianapolis, IN has an opening for a part-time experienced new business development sales rep to help grow this dynamic new company.  Snappening is the most comprehensive event planning database available online in central Indiana, designed to allow users to plan their own events. Whether it’s an individual who desires to plan a social function, or a business owner needing to find appropriate space for the next conference or team retreat, Snappening provides quick, easy access to a community’s entire set of available venues and professional event planners – all for free. Information can be sorted by location, size, event type and venue type among countless other criteria. As a Territory Sales Manager, your focus will be on new account sales to the following audiences:

  1. Event Venues/Managers: Industry professionals who actively promote and sell event venue spaces
  2. Advertisers: Thousands of event industry-related professionals who manage small and mid-size businesses closely related to the event and wedding industries, and
  3. Event Planners: A discrete selection of the city’s top professional event planners and those wishing to further develop their event planning businesses.

The online solution opens the door and service contracts build recurring revenue streams.  We are seeking a driven, determined individual who can discover new customers in central Indiana from an extensive list of existing potential clients and sources. You will actively prospect for new business, help customers navigate through online subscription options, recommend solutions, and close deals.  Reporting to the owner, who is also the producing sales manager, you will actively call on industry decision makers including venue managers, event vendor business owners and professional event planners.


  • Prospect for new accounts through disciplined sales activity 
  • Qualify prospects and schedule appointments with decision makers
  • Close deals with assertive presentation and follow through
  • Build relationships with customers and uncover needs
  • Participate in trade organizations and create effective referral relationships
  • Update CRM database as your prospects move through the sales pipeline 
  • Proactively learn our business and continually sharpen your sales skills

  • Minimum 2 years of proven B2B sales experience
  • Basic knowledge of online business solutions and the Internet
  • A successful track record that demonstrates effective execution of a sales activity plan
  • Confident and approachable attitude
  • Persistent, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Willing to travel throughout central Indiana
  • Naturally curious with the tendency to ask “what if”?
  • Professional demeanor with clear and direct communication skills
  • Computer savvy with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry preferred
